SHEILA BAILEY, OWNER & Pilates Instructor

Sheila has spent more than 40 years in the dance industry performing, directing and educating.  Pilates has always been integrated in one way or another during these years.  A love of learning has led Sheila to additional training in Progressive Ballet Technique that focuses on core stability, weight placement, alignment and flexibility, (These exercises are done with an Exercise Ball also known as a Swiss Ball or Fit Ball).

Power Pilates Mat, STOTT PILATES® Reformer.  Pilates has contributed to her overall health, wellbeing and function.  It has healed some injuries and kept her involved in work and personal life.  Sheila enjoys watching Pilates restore and bring health and vitality to anyone that becomes involved.

 
 

Marium Kroff, Pilates & Yoga Instructor

Marium completed her Pilates training through Power Pilates, a company based in New York.  Power Pilates is dedicated to honoring the integrity of the original Joseph Pilates.  The training addresses the anatomical foundations ideal and modified movements, and specific verbal and sensory cues to guide students to reach their fullest potential.  In addition to her Pilates certification, Marium is certified in yoga, aerobics, water aerobics, kickboxing, spinning and personal weight training. 

Marium is the proud mother of 5 sons and 16 grandchildren.  Several have followed her footsteps with a love of the outdoors and physical fitness.  Marium believes that continual physical movement at all ages is paramount to looking good, feeling stronger and living longer.  Her classes are structured to teach with energy and knowledge in order to improve both physically and mentally.  She believes the combination of the mind and body connection is necessary for our overall health.  One look at Marium and it is evident that her strong commitment to physical exercise and healthy lifestyle continues as an integral part of her own life. 

 

Meg Poulson, Pilates & Yoga Instructor

Meg has over 38 years of experience in the wellness industry and has devoted her life to helping others. She holds Pilates certifications with Balance Body Pilates, PiYo, FITour and is currently completing her full comprehensive certification through STOTT PILATES® on all equipment including the Reformer, Stability Chair, Ladder Barrel, Arc Barrel, Spine Corrector, Mat and Cadillac.

Meg has a BS in Business Administration with a minor in Nutrition. She has achieved certifications with AFAA (Athletics and Fitness Association of America), USWFA (United States Water Fitness Association), Yogafit, American Senior Fitness Association, Tune Up (Fascial release), Stepping on Fall Prevention, Silver and Fit, Arthritis Foundation, Schwinn Cycling, Gliding, BeamFit, and is an AquaStretch Therapist. She is a master trainer with USWFA and American Red Cross and enjoys teaching and inspiring her clients to keep moving.

After 25 years of living and raising her two children in Las Vegas, Meg is happy to be in St. George closer to her family. Traveling is one of her favorite past times along with paddle boarding, hiking and cycling.

 
 

Tamra Stephenson, Pilates & High Fitness Instructor

Tamra Stephenson has been teaching Pilates for over 13 years. Her Pilates path began with certifying in STOTT PILATES® and it grew from there. From dance cardio to resistance training, she loves sharing her passion for health and fitness with others. Along with her Pilates certification, she is also a personal trainer specializing in working with clients dealing with chronic illness and neurological conditions.

When she’s not in the gym, her hobbies include stand up paddle board, hiking, riding her bike and pretty much anything that involves warm weather. You can also find her teaching SUP Pilates on the lake. She’s a mom to four girls and married to her high school best friend. Her goal is that every person leaves class with a smile and feeling better than when they came in.

 
 
 

Betty Kincaid, Pilates Instructor

Betty discovered Pilates 7 years ago, and rapidly advanced from student to devotee to all-purpose fanatic to instructor. Watching her own muscles get longer and leaner – not to mention the improved posture, and profound advancements in flexibility – convinced her to make spreading the power and effectiveness of Pilates her career mission. 

Betty’s challenging classes cultivate heightened discipline and focus for every Pilates student, from the novice to the expert. Her primary focus is on muscle function, demonstrating an appreciation for the uniqueness of every body.

Betty is a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor in the following disciplines: STOTT PILATES® Injuries & Special Populations; Cadillac, Chair, & Barrels; Matwork; Reformer; and Total Barre®.

A 40-year resident of the Intermountain West, Betty lived in Flagstaff, AZ and Las Vegas before her long-overdue relocation to St. George in 2020. In her free time, Betty likes to bike, hike, and spend time with her two cats.

 

RAELYNN DAVIES, MANAGER & Pilates Instructor

RaeLynn has been working and managing Awaken Studios St. George for 3 years. She has a wonderful and natural care of people and their needs. RaeLynn has watched countless hours of Pilates methods and instructors as well as the transformation of many clients. She has become an expert in Pilates equipment. RaeLynn has recently gone through the STOTT PILATES® Reformer training and is looking forward to future involvement instructing.
